Professor Silvanus Udoka is Dean of Clark Atlanta University’s School of Business Administration. Before occupying this position, he chaired the Department of Management and held a joint appointment in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina A&T University. The author of more than 90 scholarly articles, refereed journal entries, book chapters, case studies and conference presentations, he serves as a technical reviewer for the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the National Science Foundation. In the past decade, he has generated more than $3.5 million in grant-funded research underwritten by organizations including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Lockheed Martin.
Professor Udoka earned a Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering technology from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah; M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering and management from Oklahoma State University. He is a board member of the Global Opportunities Center in Greensboro, N.C., and the Healthy Communities Working Group of the Piedmont Triad Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Project. He also is a member of APICS, the leading provider of supply chain management research, education and certification, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the American Society of Engineering Education.
