Jake Effoduh

Assistant Director

Jake Okechukwu Effoduh is a Research Fellow with the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies [NIALS]. He is also a Visiting Researcher (Nathanson) at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in Canada. He is actively involved in human rights research and development and has also been a freelance journalist for the BBC Media Action in Nigeria since 2006.
Jake has worked with several organizations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He has consulted at the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights and engaged at the UN Human Rights Council. He has published several academic papers and has co-edited two books: Handbook on the Rules of engagement for the Nigerian Military and Corporate Governance and Responsibility. He is currently an Assistant Director in the Nigerian office of the Council on African Security and Development.
